Comes with a Bigger Screen, Google Announces Pixel 3 Duo

Google finally announced the presence of its latest smartphone, Pixel. As usual, there are two variants introduced, namely Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

The design of these two smartphones is still similar to its predecessor. However, thanks to a thinner bezel, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL come with a larger screen.

Pixel 3 XL has a 6.3-inch screen with a notch at the top, while Pixel 3 has a 5.5-inch screen span - 5 inches larger than Pixel 2.

"For the needs that always exist, we design the best cameras and put them in the most helpful phones in the world," said Google Chief Hardware Rick Osterloh as quoted from The Verge, Wednesday (10/10/2018).

For specifications, both smartphones are supported with Snapdragon 845 chipset and 4GB RAM. Google also includes stereo speakers on the front and bluetooth 5.0.

In this Pixel 3, Google also embed Titan M's security chip. The company calls this chip provides direct protection for encryption, login and application data.

The plan, Pixel 3 will officially launch on October 18, 2018. The price tag of this smartphone is US $ 799 for Pixel 3 with a capacity of 64GB.

About camera, Google still survives with a single lens for the needs of the front camera. This smartphone uses a 12.2MP resolution lens.

However, the company did different things for the front camera. Both Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL come with a dual front camera, which functions to capture wider images.

As a support for the camera, Google also complements the Pixel 3 with artificial intelligence. There are a number of newer features available on this smartphone ranging from Top Shot to Photobooth.

For the first time, Pixel 3 already supports the wireless charging feature. Therefore, Google also released a special dock named Pixel Stand at a price of US $ 79.

This smartphone is already running Android 9 Pie with a change in navigation style. The company no longer includes virtual buttons (back, home, recents), but navigation based entirely on gestures.
